THE BEST TIME TO JOIN

The best time to join our classes is the start of a new season, we work on our routines for 6 months and go in line with the school terms. So the first week back at school in term 1 or term 3 is the perfect time with our first week Back for 2024 commencing on the 30th January . We put on a professionally produced dance concert at the end of each season (June & December) these are not compulsory but are a lot of fun and great for our dancers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

YES! You can pay weekly. We have several options including an auto pay option and you only pay for the classes you attend. We have an online parents portal that gives you the option to pay by card and we will even still except cash.
We have an online program that once you enroll online you will receive a personal login to your own parent portal. Through the portal you can pay for classes, bring your account up to date, add classes, check new information, promos and a wide range of other dance related things anytime during the day or night. We post all tuition to accounts on Mondays and the following Monday we check all absences and remove any charges for classes you miss. If you have paid before this any credit will be rolled over to the following week.

We don’t do trial classes as such as we are a pay as you go studio with no term fees. What we do differently at Hipa Studios is ask that you go Online and register, choose and pay for your first week of class. Then when you turn up to class your child will be on the roll, if they don’t dance that’s fine, we just mark them absent so your class payment will roll over to the following week. We continue to do this for the first couple of weeks. We have found this approach works well for both the children and the parents as it can sometimes take a couple of weeks for a child to feel comfortable in their surroundings. If you are unhappy or feel that we are not a fit for you, we will happily refund your enrollment fee that first week.

No, we are a pay as you go studio. This way you only pay for classes you attend and don’t have to find time to do a ‘Make up’ class.
However we do offer the option if you would like to pay a full term up front and offer a 10% discount.

No, we do not make you buy specific dance shoes or uniforms, however we do have options there if you would like to. We just ask you to wear clothing you can move in freely, shoes that are comfy but with little to no grip and that STAY ON YOUR FEET. e.g. joggers, jiffy’s etc. We do ask for NO THONGS or barefoot in class as this can be dangerous or damaging to your child.
For tap we find any shoe with as little grip as possible and a harder sole to make a bit of noise is great, this way they feel they are getting to join in properly.
We do have a second-hand shoe page on Facebook for our enrolled students where you may be able to find some to fit at a reduced price (you are also welcome to post other dance shoes you may have lying around for sale). You will receive the link to this private page in your welcome pack once you have completed your enrollment.

We encourage family interaction within the studio as we believe that showing support for your child’s growth helps bolster their confidence and we invite parents to watch all of their children’s classes. All we ask is for you to be mindful of making extra noise during classes and follow any sign in requirements (covid safe)

No you do not have to participate in the concert, although we find it a is a great experience for our Dancers. We hold 2 concerts a year to showcase our students. You can choose to go in one concert, two concerts or none, the choice is yours.

Absolutely not, your instructor works wonders in helping you learn routines whilst having a ball. The most important thing is to bring a positive attitude and a good sense of humor .

This invitation only group was created for our young students not quite ready for our CMI program. it’s a bite size version to help our little ones aged 5-8 “Step up” and get ready for CMI.

No, we have an open studio where we encourage parents to stay and be part of the journey with your child. All of our teachers are transparent in the way we deal with your little ones and you will find the language used in class is one of a positive, uplifting and encouraging nature. We do ask for you to be respectful of the class that is taking place and to keep the noise down to a minimum. We do ask that any extra children that you have with you could stay seated and any device noise to be off or through headphones.

No, this is a decision between you and you dancer. We do ask that you are at class at least 5-10 min before the end of class, you need to make us aware if you are held up or returning late for your child. If your dancer is in our Tiny Tots class, we ask that you stay on the premises for the duration of the class and that you help with getting drinks and changing shoes.

we ask that you bring a bottle of water, shoes , a good attitude, your dancing smile and your best self, ready to learn. shoes should be comfy but with little to no grip and that STAY ON YOUR FEET. e.g. joggers, jiffy’s etc. We do ask for NO THONGS or barefoot in class as this can be dangerous or damaging to your child.
