INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
INTERMEDIATE DANCE CLASSES ARE GENERALLY SUITED TO DANCERS BETWEEN 13 & 17 YEARS OF AGE
Intermediate age dance classes are 30 min classes and as with all HIPA classes they are designed to help build confidence, learn mind and body connection, spacial awareness and technique through learning a routine. All our classes have an emphases on encouragement and enjoyment, we make sure every child gets to have their time in the front row in every class. All of our instructors are enthusiastic and caring and we have worked hard to build a supportive community where all our dancers help encourage and support each other.
HIP HOP
This is a continuation on from our younger Hip Hop class, with more advance moves being taught we still stay within the parameters of being respectful. The music is chosen with clean lyrics and the style appropriate of the age group. This class has a looser style than jazz so each child can put their own flare into the moves. This is a fun and popular class, We also recommend Jazz as a great complimentary class to hip hop as it helps to bolster their body movement, strength and technique. This class runs From 5.30-6.00pm
JAZZ
This class is designed to push them as they grow out of being in the younger age group. With the preparation and corrections of corner work, jumps and leaps this class is a fun interactive one with a massive range of improvements in each dancer.
Jazz is a great foundation for many modern styles including hip hip and freestyle as it teaches strength, body control and a technical foundation of many dance styles. This class runs From 6.00-6.30pm
TAP
With Tap being about making our feet an extra percussion instrument that adds to a song. Our students learn to listen to the beats as the heart of the music. We encourage children to make some noise hitting the beats as well as in a syncopated rhythm to really make the brains fire up. Our tap classes are based on a mix between F.A.T.D and an American style of tap giving the students a fun yet technically correct understanding. This class runs From 6.30-7.00pm
BALLET
This class works on strength and position to achieve being on “Demi Point and High Point”. This is certainly a more serious and determined class Than our Primary classes. Ballet has always been the pinnacle of grace, strength and technical ability. Every dancer can benefit from taking ballet as it teaches control and strength like no other style. THIS CLASS IS ONLY ON A SATURDAY AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.
CONTEMPORARY
Our intermediate contemporary class is for those students wanting to stretch their dance ability. This style requires an understanding of how our bodies move and teaches a growing of body awareness and movement. The requirements for this class are not only age based but also ability. THIS CLASS IS ONLY ON A SATURDAY AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.

HIPA STUDIOS CLASS PRICES
At HIPA STUDIOS we believe everybody should have the opportunity to dance. As such part of our philosophy is to make our dance classes as affordable and as accessible as possible.
*WE WILL NOT make you pay a term fee HOWEVER we will give you a 10% DISCOUNT should you wish to pay for the full term upfront.*(not in conjunction with other discounts)
You only pay for the classes you attend. if you are Absent we do not charge you.
We do charge an annual Registration fee this is $20 for the first student and $15 for the second student in one family, any additional students will not be charged a registration fee.
ALL our 30 minute Classes are charged as follows per day
1 Class = $13
2 Classes = $20
3 Classes = $27
4 Classes = $33
5 Classes = $38
All Prices include GST
We also apply a 10% Discount for family’s with more than 1 student.
