SENIORS
SENIOR CLASSES ARE SUITED TO DANCERS BETWEEN 15 & 25 WHO HAVE PREVIOUS TRAINING IN A HIGH LEVEL OF DANCE.
These HIPA classes are designed to expand on prior learnt connections, spatial awareness and technique. Our classes have an emphasis on encouragement and a strive to enhance one’s ability in a supportive community where all our dancers help encourage and support each other.
TEEN JAZZ
In this fast-paced class, we explore different genres of jazz and generally work on a stylized piece with a high level of musicality, sharpness and intense progressions including leaps, floor work and turns. Asking students to strive, to push and to believe in their ability using the fundamentals, developments and essentials they have learned in our previous levels. Each student in this class is part of the team, steered to support, encourage and guide each other creating a safe inspiring space to dance and grow.
The required ‘Ability Assessment’ to qualify placement for below programs, is taken in this class.

SENIOR CONTEMPORARY
This is a great class for experienced dancers wanting to expand their style and choreography awareness. This class requires dancers to leap, roll, spin and stretch their body’s both physically and mentally. A hard-working dancer with a want to learn will find their skill improved exponentially. TAP
An upbeat, fast paced class with an emphasis on beats, syncopation and musicality. The combinations in this class will have several levels of execution with an expectation on working hard to get to the highest level. SENIOR HIP HOP
With a more advanced style this class is intricate and rewarding. The combinations are taught rapidly with an expectation of execution and performance whilst implementing technique within the stylised piece. PRE PROFESSIONAL JAZZ AND CONTEMPORARY COMBINED
This 1½ hr class consists of 2 styles, a fast pace advanced jazz class with a high level of technique required, and a modern lyrical/contemporary piece both highly stylised. Full of floor work, leaps, turns (minimum double pirouette) and innovative combinations, this class requires a certain strength, flexibility and technique level for personal safety.
